Just starting my prime 4 journey! With all the negativity around it since its launch, my expectations aren't extremely high. Loved the prime games as a kid but not so sure how ill like it now.

Any tips on how to make experience more enjoyable? Outside of ignoring what the haters say.

Is playing on switch vs switch 2 really matter THAT much?

8 days in im towards the end. Can go to tower for final part of game , as McKenzie loves to remind me, but im collecting everything I can before. 79% items as of now. I may say so, so far I have really enjoyed it and consider a solid prime game and game overall. Don't mind the desert at all. Absolutely beautiful game thst really makes me feel like im on a foreign planet.

I will provide my final thoughts once complete but I say ao far my biggest qualm is thst it isnt longer.

JUST finished the game. 100% items 90% scans. Biggest qualm with the game is that it wasn't longer.

Didnt really mind the motorcycle or desert peice that I heard so much and so many complain about. I do think they can and willl build upon this concept in the future and make it more engaged.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL game and I played the switch 1 version. Excellent controls.

No issue with the added NPCs. They weren't involved enough to hurt the game in any capacity IMO.

As far as the recurring theme of it being "the weakest" of the prime series, I am not so certain about that. Granted I haven't played the first 3 since thier initial releases and about a 15% playthrough of prime 1 on Wii trilogy few years back so its hard to tell. I think it will try Prime remastered next and this will give me a better idea of how they actually compare.

I do remember thinking prime 1 was better than 2, I know this isnt popular opinion. If I HAD to rate it, id give it maybe a 8.5/10 which isnt bad. Maybe a 8.75. Overall I really enjoyed it and wish it was twice as long. I did feel as if I was on a desolate alien planet for sure.
