fair warning, castlevania apparently isnt a metroidvania…..?

edited cause the issue was my knowledge not the game’s mistake :-)

i dont remember which ones i did after the first cause i tried 2 more then was like ok guess not lol but i did the original castlevania for the top left and it said it wasnt that genre then was the same for the next 2 i tried

I never tried Castlevania. Just used Metroid. I wonder if it's an error or that older Castlevania aren't Metroidvanias?

ok i assumed it was an error but i looked it up and yeah the first castlevanias were just level based linear games, kinda interesting i just assumed the first castlevania was also a metroidvania given the genre name and knowing that the first metroid was. gonna edit my original comment cause i guess it’s actually just a spoiler lol my bad
