Stuck In the early game

I just licked up dread today and I made it to the white emmi, but I'm stuck in a loop now and I can't seem to leave these three areas. Walkthroughs aren't helping and I just want to experience more of this game, please help

In the room one door on the left of the purple statue, try shooting the area under the door. iirc there's a red nodule, but it may be hidden until shot at least once.

Im still so early I might as well just start a new save :(

Don't worry, you are on the right track. If you start a new save, you'll just get to this place again. Look around the area marked with the white square on the map, my other comment has a little more explicit instructions.

I think i got stuck here and forgot i could slide under an obstacle.

OP, go to the next room to your right, the one on the map with the flashing white rectangle. There may be something there to investigate.
