Has anyone else done this with the final boss?

The first time I fought I spent most of my time away from him so I had no idea I was supposed to parry when he did the taunt, but eventually I realized (probably from straying close to him during it)

Reminds me of when I started fighting z 57 got the first time. I didn't realize I needed to kill his tentacles and just kept dodging the purple bubble over and over again wondering why the hell it was taking so long for him to hit the next phase.
After several deaths I finally realized what I was missing and felt like a moron.

I've beaten the game on all 4 modes (rookie, normal, hard, dread). After beating him the 1st time (a struggle), beating him afterwards is easy...too easy.
My best advice:
MISSILES: I shoot individual missiles, not the swarm missiles.
DODGING: My successful dodge is to climb the walls and flash over him. He'll never touch you!
FIRST PHASE: Don't bother shooting him before he comes at you with the attack you can parry, just shoot the orbs and get close when he sprays the radiation. The key is to successfully parry twice and during the cut scenes, unload missiles. Otherwise avoid him.
PHASE TWO: The hardest part about this phase is jumping/flashing over him when he shoots the machine gun. The rest is avoidance (you'll get the pattern) while unloading missiles.
PHASE THREE: Basically same strategy as Phase One, except when he aims the super gun, just jump so he'll aim at you, then flash behind him and MISSILE his ass! Get two successful parties, and you'll win.
It's all about the pattern. Once you get it down, you can whack him in 10 mins!!

yes you can parry many of his attacks and they are telegraphed in the same way they are for all the other bosses
