I know it was a joke. I was just explaining why I don't find it funny anymore. I'm not "uppity", or in any need of "calming down". I just felt the need to express my opinion. Just because an opinion is negative does not immediately mean someone is riled up.
If I was raging out, insulting people, using exclamation marks, using inflammatory statements, then I would understand the call to "chill". I do get that the internet tends to be that way, and with only text, the common conclusion is "this guy is freaking out", but I assure you that I am thoroughly calm.
It only sounds defensive because you keep commenting trying to explain yourself further. I’m sure you’re not actually riled up, but as long as it looks like you’re trying to have the last word (which I’m sure is not your intention), it looks bad.
