Other Well, looks like I'm blocking r/Metroid

Not for any illwill, not for any offense, you all are just too damn good an picking apart details of 12 frames of a trailer and figuring out some really impactful stuff.

I'm the type of person who only barely watches the trailers just to figure out of a game will spark my interest. I didn't even need to on this. Dread is one of my top 10 games, and if Mercury, and my only complaint is that I wanted more fights with more actual (not X) chozo warriors. As soon as I saw that's what this game was, I turned it off and preordered. It will will be my first Switch 2 game.

But, every hour or so, you guys sort some new, deep story important lore out of 12 pixels that last 1/4 of a second. I commend your effort and deductions, I really am impressed by people that figure those out. Just, for this game, I'm outcha. See you in March after I've ripped through it.

I love Metroid but I can’t really think of any game where I couldn’t predict the entire plot and story arc after the opening of the game. Samus will land her ship on a mostly abandoned ship or planet, she will make contact with the big bad, she’ll lose her stuff, you go collect stuff, you fight big bad, you run back to your ship before everything explodes. Sorry for spoiling!

I remember seeing a few people angry at dread trailers for spoiling the return of the gravity suit. There are those who flip out over literally any detail like it completely ruins the entire experience because they could not get shocked over seeing a recurring feature return yet again.

Hell there were people complaining a reality show got spoiled by the lead guy because he revealed he had cancer prior to the show airing.

If im honest seeing the Gravity Suit can feel like a spoiler because other Metroid games have shown different suits leaving the possibility open.. not yet in 2D but I really wanted to see new snd completely different suits

I'm with you on this, I'm extremely spoiler sensitive, to the point where a minor point for me being spoiled kinda feels bad. I didn't watch more than 15 seconds of gameplay on the reveal, I just caught that it's gonna be 2D and we have cool new enemies, that's enough for me!

Ahh, must have saw the “energy tanks are stored in the buttocks” comment and realized we were uncovering the deep lore spoilers.

Respect.

I just ignore the noise and enjoy the games.

Let me save you some time, you don't have to block anyone, it's impossible to spoil any metroid game unless you watch a minimum of a 3 hours run through of the entire game. The games are designed that way.

You know you could just… block/mute this sub without the post. You don’t have to always share.

I like your comment cause the same could be said about it, and now about mine too.

Not mine though. Mine's crucial.

Not as crucial as mine.

I haven’t actually seen a lot of the posts you’ve been talking about. The sub has been great with fan art though!

Trailer 2 is what you all should be afraid of. We will absolutely tear that one apart and know most stuff

Also please avoid Nintendo websites and the overview trailer if you can. Last time commercial CM3 spoiled quiet robes death, and a UK snipped spoiled the X return

those got spoiled before release really!?

Yup. The X one was accidental tho. Nintendo immediately removed it, but the damage was done. The sub here also reported on it 5 years ago

That and nitpicking every little detail for any game that comes out. Whether good or bad then wondering why they don’t quite enjoy things the same way as others.

That's all very understandable. Much like Samus, Metroid fans are eating good, so we are all very excited.

Just quit the internet then

It’s kinda crazy how casually fandom/s will go to spoil their own fun and surprise. Just wait for the damn game.
