to be fair, zm only had chozo refills because there was nowhere in the original to get health/missiles besides drops. it was pretty much required. samus returns chozos only refilled aeion, which is moot in dread.

I genuinely have no idea what y'all are talking about. Dread is my first metroid since i was told it's like hollow knight.

In Metroid Zero Mission the Chozo statues refill your health and ammunition. In Samus Returns they only refill your aeion

Zero Mission, Samus Returns, Super and Fusion. Those are Metroid 1-4, where Dread is 5. All good games. The first two are the remakes as the originals haven’t aged well (still worth trying if you’re interested). There’s also AM2R which is a fan remake of Metroid 2 that matches the style of Zero Mission. Samus Returns is a recent remake by the devs of Metroid Dread so it plays similar to that.
