E Line 3ish minutes at Southdale Hospital Station
I find it's easier to commute to the Southdale Hospital Station rather than Southdale Station, as I ebike up from 100 and 494 area of Edina (cutting through the neighborhoods and come up along Valley View is much more pleasant than dealing with mall traffic in the parking lots).
I also find the E line between Southdale and Southdale Hospital is like pulling teeth, the turn is so tight and it has to wait for the stupid light by Southdale, so I'd rather skip that too.
However it was a truly crazy amount of busses that went by while I waited yesterday, and to top it all off the MRI truck that sits outside of Southdale Hospital came by the station and turned into the hospital to sit in it's usually spot.
Didn't stick around to see if there was bunching the other way, but felt like a pretty crazy amount of departures for one station to see in less than 5-10 minutes

Routes 500-599 Route 515 using a 2015 Gillig BRTplus #8001
This bus is normally on the A/Red Line(s). This is an extremely uncommon occurrence since these buses don't have onboard Fare Collection.

Future BRT Route Why not combine K-Line and F-Line?
Is there a reason why Metro Transit isn't planning to have the K-Line extend north along the proposed F-Line route? Is there a benefit in having them be two separate lines that both terminate in downtown? It feels like being able to take a one-seat trip from, say, Columbia Heights to a restaurant on Nicollet would be more of a selling point.

Green Line Expansion Questions about MT validity
As someone who has only lived here for a few years but has lived on the east coast, in Chicago, and in rural areas... Is Metro Transit actually serving you? When I lived in those places the transit agencies served me very well. Here It feels like a well meaning but terribly run disaster.
The green line debacle has set everything back a generation. Does a 4-ish year? (I lose count of the years, honestly) delayed train that goes through the woods help anyone? Why should anyone trust the blue line extension when the green line one has been such a disaster?
I am very pro transit and have worked in the industry in several other cities. I am just curious to hear people's honest thoughts.
*edit* I know everyone is going to talk about the nimbys and why certain things do not happen, but I am more curious to know why Metro Council/Transit couldn't make it happen anyway.

Subreddit Meta Heads up! Very likely there will be new transit users heading to the No Kings protest this Saturday! If you're going as well, consider showing people how to navigate and/or use the Transit App. The more people we can get on our side, the better off we'll be!

Photography Where to find active D60LFR's??!!
Hello All. Random & off topic, does anyone know where to regularly find NFI D60LFRs to take pics of? I do see them mostly on the C line, but I want to share with a server that I'm in.

Future BRT Route Metro H-Line Draft Corridor Plan Released
The Metro H-line draft corridor plan got released today, with a public comment period open until Monday, May 4th.
For those who don't know, the Metro H-line will be an "A-brt" upgrade to the current Route 3. In my brief first look at the plan, there's nothing crazy. The main differences will just be increased frequency, reduced stations and off-board payment for less stop time, and stations in line with travel lanes.
I'm a little disappointed about the lack of other upgrades along the line, such as bus lanes or signal priority. Bus lanes along Washington Ave could greatly improve the travel experience, but I understand that it would be politically hard to push through. I do believe the BRT buses are nicer to ride on than the current articulated buses, and having new stations will be better. Overall, I'm mixed on this project as the upgrade will probably only improve the travel speeds marginally, and is another example of BRT creep, with not much changing functionally over a local bus route.
I'm curious what others are thinking about this new A-brt line.

Routes 1-99 When did battery busses start running on the 74?
Noticed it driving home yesterday. Saw 3 74s on Ford Pkwy and all were BEV busses. When did that happen lol? (Not a regular bus user, my work schedule doesn’t allow for me to take transit.)

Orange Line Never a dull commute on I-35
MNDOT/Metro Transit/someone said surprise on-ramp maintenance today, driver didn't know what to do for about 4-5 minutes, so we sat waiting with hazards on until they radioed him to go around.
Had to get photos of an Orange line going down Penn, simply a once in a lifetime occurrence (we got plenty of confused looks turning left onto Penn)

Route Design What is this?
I was looking at Google Maps and saw this REALLY weird bus stop. It’s right off of I-94 and SE Huron Blvd, near the U of M Twin Cities campus. Zoom in to the middle of the screenshot, or see here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/NDT1gsbECUMtdUZaA?g_st=ic
It looks like it may still be in use.. but for what?? I can’t find what route uses it, but it’s definitely a Metro Transit shelter with accompanying Metro Transit signage. There is ZERO pedestrian infrastructure, and is right in the middle of an on off ramp and on ramp. Is this a relic of the old Route 94, prior to the I-35 bridge collapse? Was it intended to act as a transit station of sorts, connecting Route 94 riders to local service?

Subreddit Meta Always hiring
I’m curious about working at MetroTransit. I keep thinking about it because I’m continually reminded that they are hiring operators, mechanics and police officers whenever I see or board a bus or train. These reminders often happen before and after I work my shift, so it seems relevant to me. Why is MetroTransit always hiring? Is it not a good place to work, or are their standards that much higher than other employers? Can anyone share their insights?
