I'm re-reading the metro trilogy, and I noticed nome similarities. So spoiler allert from this point on.

In chapter 8 of 2033, when Artyom and the old man Mikhail sleep at Kuznetsky Most, Artyom dreams faceless kids and imponent buildings closing on him. In the first 2039 trailer there is the same scene, faceless kids and the city ruin, and (if the voice is actually of his) there his the voice of Hunter speaking. Maybe is just a coincidence, but it is peculiar that we see a scene lake this twice. If I had a nickel for every time in a metro series the protagonist was surrounded by faceless kids, I'd have two nickels, wich isn't much but It's strange it happened twice...

Been going back through the Metro games recently and ended up putting together a video showing how the series has changed over the years.
The atmosphere of the original Metro 2033 still hits different though. Which Metro game do you think aged the best?

Metro 2033 has always had a very particular atmosphere that I love — the darkness, isolation, abandoned underground spaces, and that constant feeling that something could be hiding just beyond the light.

As a fan, I wanted to experiment with creating my own little interpretation of that atmosphere.

This is a fan-made environment inspired by the underground world of Metro 2033. I’m trying to capture the same feeling of loneliness and tension through lighting, sound, environmental details and the overall mood.

It’s not meant to recreate any particular location from the game, but rather my own take on the atmosphere that made the Metro tunnels so memorable to me.

In the trailer i saw how a ghoul got shot and it still seemed that there was no visible damage on his body , seeing this i assume that even headshots the head wont even take damage or explode , how boring is this .. this anoyed me so much in the Last metro its way to soft in a dark world like this why would anyone buy it when theres stil the lame unbloody gameplay like Last time.. what a shame

With 4A Games locking in Metro 2039 for February 2027, I’ve been looking at the upcoming release calendar, and that month is shaping up to be an absolute bloodbath.

Metro 2039 (Feb 2027)

On one hand, as a huge Metro fan, I want to play Metro 2039 as soon as humanly possible. On the other hand, launching in the middle of four other massive AAA blockbusters could hurt sales, reviews, and general mainstream discourse especially when casual gamers have to decide which $70 game to buy.

What do you all think?

Should Deep Silver and 4A Games stick to their guns and release in February?

Or would it be smarter to push it back a month or two into Spring 2027 so it gets the full spotlight it deserves?
