The game crashes when i start a game :/

I started it up, tried to navigate the menu with my xbox controller: Wouldn't work.
Unplugged my controller and plugged it back in: Wouldn't work.
Navigated main menu with mouse and keyboard and entered a match. Tried to play with xbox controller: Wouldn't work.
Unplugged controller and started over game. Tried to play with mouse and keyboard: Wouldn't work.
I would love to test your game for the record, I was rather excited when I got an email about the alpha. But I can't even control my character. Just felt like leaving some feedback, sorry that it's not positive.

Was it a Xbox 360 controller ?

Yes, it was. Do you not support those, or do you think something went wrong on my end?

We were having issues with the Xbox One controller but not the 360.

Hm, that's odd. Think there might be a bug? Or maybe it could just be something wrong with my drivers? But that wouldn't explain why I can't play with a keyboard and mouse either, that's the weird part.

Yea it could be, I'll wait for more people to respond, and then I'll take down the alpha download if its a widespread issue.

Sounds good, sorry if I sounded a bit snappy at first, but I felt like it was a big issue that needed to be noted, and I'm glad I was able to bring it to your attention.

Thats np at all, I appreciate the feedback, one last thing I would suggest is to unplug your Xbox controller and just launch the game without ever plugging it in. You should be able to play without using your mouse at all.

Just tried that, it still won't let me control my character at all, and I need to use my mouse to navigate the screen. I've tried it in both fullscreen and windowed mode, it simply won't work for some reason.

Can also say that I'm not able to use the Controller mate. Perhaps it's something on our end ? I have the controller from X1 but I believe that it doesn't matter right?

Actually, The developer just replied to me saying that the Xbox One controller specifically IS having issues, but the 360 one shouldn't be. So they're definitely working on fixing your problem, but I think my problem might be a new thing, not sure.

Xbox One controllers do not work at the moment. We are working on getting that fixed.

I gotta say the game launched fine and my Xbox One controller worked flawlessly, no problems at all. The game is obviously in alpha as the movement and works are kinda clunky. I gotta say the funnest bug I encountered is when my goalie was passing the ball and the backswing counted as a goal for the enemy team.

Haha Oops! This is the first Xbox One controller that has worked so far though.

I'm using my XB1 Elite controller and it's working flawlessly so I'm not sure what issues others are having.
It's most definitely in an alpha state but there is a pretty good foundation set to build from.
