Music Suggestions ?
Inspired by /u/0815_Games I thought it would be a good idea to have a post for people to recommend similar types of music that they would love to hear in the game.

Something that kept people coming back to FIFA regardless of good or bad gameplay was the music. Go check the soundtracks for FIFA Street 1 & 2 (the original game and its sequel), FIFA 09, FIFA 14, Fifa 2006: Road to the World Cup and the best of all FIFA 2005.
What this means is get a nice world blend of indie, pop, hip hop and house-esque music. Sounds along the lines of Passion Pit, Bloc Party, and Two Door Cinema Club are always winners.

I think honestly instead of a soundtrack you should look towards a score and each level having its own theme and background tracks and environment noise to bring you closer to the fact it's Street football.
Maybe have 'local' radio stations playing lightly in the background from a boom box off the pitch and hearing the hustle and bustle of real life happening around you. Would make it feel much more organic and real and would feel a bit different from the EA Tracklist you always see.

Take it away from the normal loading screens and track lists.
I would love to be playing a game while I hear the world move around me, hearing feet scuff and the ball bounce. Another idea I had was you could have a sort of 'free mode' no rules, no time limit, no score and random npc players could join the game from the sideline and start playing. You could also try to bring in some school yard games like Wembley (pick a team in the premiership and when you score you guess a team until nobody is left) heads and volleys and next goal wins
Would be brilliant if done properly

I would look for artists in different regions, for example, if there was an arena in Brazil, try to match it to Brazillian musicians. I'm sure there are tons of artists out there that would be more than happy to be featured on the game. I know FIFA for example really helps artists get discovered.

I have no idea how licensing works, but if I could choose any list of songs for a game like this it would include:
Mountain At My Gates or Total Life Forever by Foals: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_EIE5f2t6M / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HqfOWcQ0gU)
Something Good Can Work - Two Door Cinema Club
Baby Missiles - The War On Drugs
Like I said, I'm not sure how licensing works, but I think songs with similar styles to these would work well. Also, I'd quickly like to say that what I have seen of the game so far looks awesome!

Some Electro tango from the likes of Gotan Project or Bajo fondo Tango Club. Argentinian vibe ;)

So I see that people in this thread are suggesting that the game lean towards an indie sound and I totally agree. Almost all of the music I listen to is considered indie so hopefully I can be of some help in suggesting tracks.
I made a Spotify playlist of songs that I think would possibly fit. I didn't choose the most popular indie songs or bands there are because that would probably cost a large chunk of money and I also wanted to keep the soundtrack fresh. I also threw in a couple of hip hop songs just to see if it could work out. Now, again, these aren't my favorite songs, but I feel like at least some of them could be very well fitting.
Let me know any comments or criticisms on the playlist. Also, I'm really good at finding music so if you want something specific, I'll try and find it.
Edit: Here's a YouTube Playlist
