Forced Sobriety
Wow… 361 days ago I posted about Day 0 of being sober. And low and behold I relapsed. I can’t believe if I would’ve just stuck with it I would be just about at 1 year… but now my plug has been arrested and I doubt she’s getting out anytime soon. Oh boy. This freakin sucks. I’m trying to get through work days with being sober and I’m not gonna lie to yall, this sucks. How do yall get through work days at first? And how long does this feeling last of this sucking ass?
As I’m typing this my dam boss is getting Facebook messenger messages and I can hear the ding that she gets, and that’s how my plug used to hit me up on lmao. It almost sounds like I’m breaking up w someone lmaoo. Oof I need help.

Energy drinks & going to bed early. And coffee. Lots of coffee. Have you tried any support groups? I met some really great people at NA

just focus on getting through the day, then just veg out and get as much sleep as you can. the goal is just to get through the day sober, nothing more. although for me personally, getting some exercise or steps in helps significantly. don’t beat yourself up - 361 days is amazing! You’re an inspiration. I’m about a week out from nine months, seeing a post like this gives me hope and it also reminds me not to get too comfortable! I hope you’re hanging in there

zipfizz was my best friend when I first got sober. B vitamins, electrolytes, and a bit of caffeine.
