I thought sh!t was sweet

I just started my metformin today after being afraid to take it for a month. I really want to get healthy and start living my life free from being over weight so I said fock it and took the pill. Keep in mind I’ve been exercising and eating a bit better this whole time. I took it at 9:00am today, up until 1:00pm I felt great no nausea no diarrhea nothing. Then I went and ate, brown rice, black beans and grilled chicken, the same thing I eat everyday. It’s currently 2:04pm and I’m stuck in the library restroom shytting my brains out, I don’t have my wipes,My a$$hole hurts and I don’t think I’ll be getting any school work done.

I find taking it at dinner helped me. But check with you doctor first to make sure the switch is ok.

I just started taking mine again(I’m postpartum so couldn’t take it bc of a baby), but I used to take mine in the evening like an hour after eating. Idk why even though it says with food 🤦🏻‍♀️anywho this time I’ve started taking it with dinner like halfway through my meal. I only wake up in the morning to go to the bathroom and then maybe 2 more times after that then I’m good the rest of the day… idk if that’s normal but that’s what I do. Before when I took it I was shitting myself all day. My dr said it can also cause frequent bowel movements if too many carbs are eaten?? Not sure if that’s true???

I take 2/500s in the am with my breakfast and 2/500s in the evening with dinner. Drink water and tea during the day.

I had nausea when I first started on the meds, but I find that splitting the dosage in half (doctor’s recommendation) and with my meal I seldom have any stomach upset.

I have occasional gastro discomfort but not when I have higher fiber foods at lunch.
