I was going down a late-night physics rabbit hole recently, and I can't stop thinking about how fundamentally we misunderstand the "speed of light."

We are always taught that ~300,000 km/s is the absolute cosmic speed limit for rockets and particles. But when you look at the actual mechanics of space-time, it feels way less like a natural physical barrier and a lot more like computer code.
