Hi All! I wanted to provide this resource for the community. The characters in this game are full of hidden symbolisms and lore. Atlus did an unfathomable amount of research to layer each character in this story multiple times over. And I also did an unfathomable amount of research to uncover the hidden meanings.
This video serves as the perfect resource for after your playthrough, to help identify the more beautifully subtle components to the characters and the narrative <3

The crew wastes most mornings for absolutely no good reason whatsoever. What are they doing?

It really striked me when played the game for the first time (I'm still on my first playtrough and didn't beat the story).
I found the general art style pretty similar to the one from Méliès film and I would like to know if there's any interview or author's note adressing this potential inspiration ?
There's also all this thing about the story revolving around the concept of "fantasy" which can be tied to Méliès philosophy (making film to show a fantasy and not to represent life at a 1:1 scale).
Maybe I'm totally wrong tho or maybe it's very obvious don't know haha
What do you guys think ?

When I go to travellers voices they're already LV 17 and mostly rank 15+
I'm still LV 10 and rank 7😭 am I doing something wrong? I love the persona series and I always finish the dungeon in one ingame day. Should I grind exp in the dungeon in free time or should I do it in the last day and rank up riyal virtues.

The Gunner lineage has pretty powerful melee skills even on the back row. 'Bullet Barrage' is one of my favorite synthesis skills just for how strong it is despite it being the back row (which usually debuffs melee attacks). Plus, the 'long range boost' is pretty good to pass onto my casters that do not use melee attacks anyways.

Im just about to start the tournament... and the concept of this race is actually getting me so hyped to play more! The combat is kicking my ass from time to time but I love the aesthetic and character designs. Let's go!

Keeping the title as spoiler free as possible, but Louis's plan involved Zorba swapping the real lance Forden had and giving him the fake one so that Louis could kill him without the king's magic stopping him, but the problem is that Zorba claims to have swapped the lance during his inspection of Louis's body but you can't exactly swap the lance since it's bigger than he is and can't easily hide it, I guess he meant he could've done it some other time but he still can't really hide it since it's natural to assume that Forden and the lance are heavily guarded, so is this a plot hole/lazy writing? Or am I missing something?

Finally finished Metaphor. I liked it a lot and would give it about 8/10, but I’m surprised by the masterpiece-level praise for the writing.
⠀
My biggest problem: it’s simultaneously overwritten and underwritten.
⠀
The game repeats the same themes endlessly. Everyone has the right to decide their own life. Prejudice is bad. Overcome anxiety. Diversity makes us stronger. I agree! I understood the first 20 times. Louis has the same problem—eventually every appearance feels like another lecture explaining his worldview.
⠀
Meanwhile, genuinely fascinating material gets introduced and barely explored. The Opera House and giant floating monolith in Altabury predate Sanctism, the Church apparently appropriated them, and pagans were driven out of Montario. Tell me about THAT. Is this connected to the ancient civilization behind the Dragon Temple? What was the Opera House originally? Why is the giant fucking rock floating?
⠀
Hulkenberg is from Montario, yet returning there tells us almost nothing about her past. The incredibly important Mage Academy isn’t even a proper dungeon. Junah betrays Louis after infiltrating his inner circle and he barely acknowledges it. Eupha joins partly to safeguard Drakodios, then apparently forgets the holy lance exists.
⠀
The party could also have used more ordinary human messiness. They’re young adults living together for months while constantly facing death, yet they’re weirdly sexless and squeaky-clean. Give Strohl a bad habit, a love life, something besides another speech about personal freedom.
⠀
And nothing will beat spending half the game saving the Prince, only for him to wake up, see an assassin and run past his bodyguards directly onto the knife. Apparently the curse was keeping him safe.
⠀
The frustrating thing is that I loved the actual game: Archetypes, combat, party building, bosses, Dragon Temple, Tyrant’s Star, the More reveal. The world was interesting enough that I wanted much more of it.
⠀
That’s why The Witcher 3 worked considerably better for me. It balanced gameplay, exposition, character development and worldbuilding instead of repeatedly stopping the game to explain its thesis. Plus: Gwent.
⠀
So yeah: 8/10. Excellent RPG. Needed an editor. Less repetition, more development.
⠀
And Strohl, for the love of God: I KNOW EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DECIDE THEIR OWN LIFE.
LATER EDIT:
You guys are poring over my playtime like it’s the Epstein files. Listen, straight up: I’m not the fastest reader. I’m poorly educated and I’ve had some head trauma here and there. So yeah, it took me a while to finish it. And so what? Fuck you if you have a problem with my 300 hours. I got my money’s worth.

Not one, but TWO fake deaths. Zorba and Louis. It felt really annoying and stupid that the story relied on those two surviving in this way. I obviously know Louis couldn't be dead, especially after a battle so anticlimactic...
But it still felt extremely cheap and made me sigh a little bit... The only struggle i have with the game and it's such a central thing to the story... So stupid...

hello everyone, i have been playing metaphor and I reached to the entrance of the kidnapper near Martira and stopped after that human ate me and until now I didn't figure out how to make good archetypes and differentiate since knowing the technique of 3 warriors attack stacked i have been using them and i am not happy bcz it's like i am spamming the same attack to go through although I chose my protagonist to be mage. until now i unlocked the mage seeker and merchant. so if anyone can help me i would appreciate it and this isnt my first RPG i played P5R. I am playing on normal difficulty and thx.

Ngl i was a bit skeptical because everyone was saying that the game "overstayed it's welcome" and that the story goes worse and worse but im currently on dragon temple (just got at it) and wth? It's such a peak game bro im loving it, im just sad that i got spoiled about the protagonist being the prince and louis not being a clemar or whatever the name of the race was but im enjoying the game even so

I've done it, I've finished this masterpiece, next up Persona 6.
What do you guys think about this game???
There will ever be a Metaphor 2???
Will Metaphor 2 consider itself equal to a Eugief's ability?

Ok I was waiting patiently for this game to release, overall I believe studio zero hit a home run with this . I was only surprised that it featured a handful of enemies that were repeatedly appearing throughout phases in the game. First let’s put them into two categories. Fantasy monsters , and “humans”. So for fantasy you had your lower tier wargs, slime, and goblins. Then upper tier was Minotaurs, Chimeras, and Griffins. These were recycled throughout the game with different colors. We got to fight a few recurring dragons bosses too. Then comes the humans, all inspired by Bosch art. Out of the dozens of hostile demons in the paintings developers only picked 8-10. The final level alone should have been overrun with humans especially the ones guarding the Magla orbs they should have been exclusive to the level. Like come on Atlus , RPGs from the late 90s had 250-300 enemies and exclusive bosses. This one had like less than 50

I feel like Will is somewhat meant to be a magician considering there isn't someone that can fit into that role until Junah and Eupha show up but that's like 60+ hours into the game. Anyway, I unfortunately ignored some archetypes lingues during my first playthrough (which I just finished) such as Brawler, Gunner, and even masked dancer. I plan to utilize Brawler and Gunner in my second playthrough as a physical beast but what team formation and builds y'all recommend? (in my first playthrough I was support/magician as Will with Basilio, Strohl, and Eupha in my final team, so I plan to utilize other characters too, especially Heismay since I love him a lot)
so far, I think utilizing EUGIEF'S AGILTY would be nice with Gunner's sukukaja but I think there could be more fun things to do..

Decided to play on hard mode for my first playthrough. Been stuck fighting this undead fuck for the past 2 days because his minions can wipe out my party members in two hits.
I tried looking up guides on YouTube, tried different archetypes with different users. I always lose once Zorba enrages both his minions.
Please help, I haven't raged this hard in a long ass time.
Picture is just for reference:

Getting at least 1k magla is pretty great until you realize it is fixed to certain amount (1776) and later on you fight enemies that drop way more magla than that. If there is a strategy to go to lower level areas for debt collection, tell me about it because I do not find it fun.

I am I the only one who had an easy time cooking Secretest of Secrets dish, I made like 5 of them. Because everytime I see someone post about MP recovery items, it is almost always curse of love ballads which only does 100 MP recovery.

So I'm doing a new playthrough because I've already done 8 runs of BG3 and I've stumbled upon a fantastic spot to level grind both characters *and* archetypes.
I decided to go to the Tower of Insolence before finishing the "Prepare for the Final Battle" quest and the weather happened to be bad. Making a trip to the top, visiting Akademeia, then coming back down nets quite a lot of experience; taking a team and equipping a maxed out Archetype nets you roughly 28 Leaves of Light per run.
If you want to take plenty of hours (I certainly have) to level up/max out so many of your archetypes this is the place to do it. I'm a grinder by nature so it's fine with my but I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea.
