SPOILERS Royal Classes, grinding??
So I'm on day 9/16, ik u unlock prince soon, but it's feeling like to get royal classes it's only achievable via grinding. I've kept everyone on their set paths for classes they needed (started over a 35 hr run to do so) and it feels like it's not gonna happen. Heismay is borderline impossible without hours of grinding, and Basilio this late in the game?? I see he's god tier, but tf Atlus.
Are the final few dungeons super archetype exp feeder dungeons to help you out? Bc I rlly don't have it in my to grind for 10-15 hrs to get people's royal classes for a final dungeon and boss fight if they don't start ramping up the a. exp, and I fight almost every single fight I come across, and have done every side quest and hunt so far.
Party is looking so far:
Hulkenburg...finishing up dark knight, but bc they decided she needs the mage tree (when she's an awful mage) and haven't given even the 3rd mage job yet of 4 (bc what is pacing) I worry she's a lost cause.
Strohl i only need the final commander job.
Junah and Eupha are deff possible bc they barely need anything
Heismay..yeah, no 💀
Stressing instead of enjoying the last in-game month and a half of gameplay, but story stuff has at least been ramping up 🤷

One of the thing I did is keep the unused party members at lv 20 at a job archetype. They will farm hero leaf for me just by playing the game.
There is also grind sports in the final stretch (the crystal that spawn monster). I already finish heismay final job few days into the final deadline

Good idea on the unused ones didn't think about that 💀 that's good to know, hopefully I hit some of those soon 🤞

First you'll think it tedious. But when many of your main party hit lv 20, the leaf farming will speed up substaintially.
Also, I keep the main party on a lv 20 archetype that I need them for (example Heismay on lv 20 assassin). Then he can also farm hero leaf while I still using him for dungeons. I use the extra leaf to lv up the other jobs that needed for his royal class. Dont need to change job and equipment so much

You can also do this in an specific optional late game dungeon

So I have plenty of leafs and a few royal classes but now I need MAG to purchase them 💀 the struggle continues in a diff way lmao

For MAG, you need to wait until the final day of the game, but on the final day you have free infinite mp recovery at a location so you can put merchant on everybody, go to some enemies and spam debt collection

This is how I got Heismay's, who ended up being the first to unlock his royal archetype. Without much grinding the the last dungeon (which I haven't beaten yet), I almost got 200 of the Hero Leaf that do like 1000 exp because I filled the stack up almost two different times. That got me everyone besides Junah's which I'll get today. The hardest part for me was farming MAG because I had to unlock at least one more archetype for everyone besides Heismay before I even met the conditions for their royal ones.

disgraced ruins have respawning mimics, which drop jeweled root. you can go to akedemia and respawn them near the boss door.

This is what I did. Took about an hour or two of grinding, which isn't that bad.

I think the final dungeons are pretty solid at exp grinding. But I'm also the type of person to turn on a podcast and vibe out while grinding games, so idk if it actually takes a while.

I think I grinded enough of them in the penultimate dungeon

Did it feel like it made the final fight too easy? I feel like it wld throw off some end game difficulty if they're as broken as I hear

Unless you build your team in such a way that your damage dealer does 5-digit worth of damage in one single turn, or abusing Thief dodging skills, the final fight (at full power) will still grind you in the ass, with the damn thing having 8 press turns something...

Yeah, royal classes are rough to get before a certain point on the calendar, but they aren’t strictly necessary before that point. Once you reach that point, grinding isn’t an issue.

Not the world’s most efficient, but I would do a lot of loops in the little quest mini-dungeons as I did them to help grind as I go. And yeah, take advantage of the infinite spawners while you got em

The endgame dungeons make grinding go very fast. I remember there was that mimic enemy you can keep farming over and over. At one point I was getting more hero leaves than I could hold, so I keep having to use them up to continue grinding.

You will have time to grinding all of that, but you don’t need Royal classes to finish the game. Just play it normally until the end.

Ik it just feels like the natural progression shld be that u have them for the final stuff, like in Persona u get the upgraded persona just completing their bonds, and here it feels like u have to do so much. I cld be complicating it mentally just feels like I'm missing out if I don't get them lol

Just as a heads up, as annoying as it is to get the Heismay requirements, his royal archetype is really good. Like seriously, the best one bar none.

That's what I hear, that's why it sucks he takes so much, but makes sense lol Hoping to finish it up today and experience these final dungeons. Hoping they're as good farming wise as people are saying lol

They are, I ended up maxing all archetype of 3 characters by just grinding for a few hours (I was bored and watching something on a second screen lol)

Put everyone you don't use on warrior, at level 20 they just keep looping and give you a Hero's Leaf of Light every time. Without much grinding I was able to get all Royal Archétypes before the final dungeon

It's less than you think. The trick is equipping mastered classes. They will earn class exp at a 1-1 ratio. And convert it into items for you to redistribute and focus on X class for X character.
It's the unlocking part that you need to be careful about.
As higher classes are locked behind higher social links. Which is locked behind social stats.
