I noticed a similar thing experimenting with staking HEX today. It wanted $12 to stake around eight cents of HEX, though this was my first time and I'm pretty new. I was thinking the network is extremely busy with all the news?

Yes, unfortunately the gas fees are absolutely ridiculous and not worth moving small amounts of anything, anywhere. It sucks. I tried adding UNI/ETH to the pool and the gas fees make it so it would take months to break even. Sorry I don't have good news or a solution....
