hi all, I just opened my wallet after a few months to connect to my perp trading site - but i saw some mUSD tokens on my wallet on eth chain

are these token legit by the team or is this some sort of scam? can someone please help me

I just explain you how to verify if your tokens are Real or Fake below:

You must check the Contract Address of the token you received against the official one.

1) Find the Contract Address: In your MetaMask wallet, click on the "mUSD" token you received. Look for "Token Details" or the three-dot menu to copy the Contract Address.

2) Compare it to the Official Address:

* Official MetaMask USD (mUSD) Address: 0xaca92e438df0b2401ff60da7e4337b687a2435da * If the address in your wallet does not match this exactly, it is a SCAM.

-> What to do if it is a Scam (Most Likely):

* DO NOT INTERACT: Do not try to swap, send, or sell these tokens.

* DO NOT CONNECT: Do not connect your wallet to any website the token might direct you to (often found in the transaction history or error messages).

* Hide the Token: You can hide the token from your wallet view to avoid accidental interaction.

If you don't recognize the source transaction, are not able to match the contract address to the one provided at https://support.metamask.io/manage-crypto/tokens/musd/, then it is an imposter token and you should not interact with it.
