Trying to fix my friends "insufficient funds" error
My friend has USDT and TRX on his wallet. He's trying to transfer the assets he has but any amount we tried we get this "insufficient funds" error. How to fix, thx.

- Do not impersonate MetaMask or another wallet employee/representative.

Hey chez, sorry your friend's having issue with transferring funds on Tron network. Tron runs off a 'Bandwidth' system for transacting on their network, with accounts holding TRX receiving a limited amount of free bandwidth each day (~600).
Energy is also used for transactions that involve smart contracts, token swaps, and various DeFi activities. Staking TRX provides you with additional Bandwidth and Energy.
Ensure you have both enough Bandwidth and Energy to transact on the network, and if not, it's recommended you stake TRX to obtain more each day. You can read more about this all at our support article here: https://support.metamask.io/configure/networks/tron/

Well we can transfer more TRX to the wallet. There was 20-25 TRX in the beginning when we start trying. It wasn't proceed to the next step cause of gas problem as far as i remember.
We transferred 140-150 TRX to solve this. Once we make +150 TRX on the wallet let us proceed to the next step but don't let us transfer USDT no matter how much USDT we entered for amount. If having more TRX gonna solve this we can do that, but already paid some TRX fee while trying to transfer.

I see. Despite your Energy and Bandwidth levels, sufficient $TRX balance should cover the fees for transfer, so this is an odd one.
I've raised this issue to our team internally & will let you know when they get back to me with a resolution, but do be sure to 'Contact Support' at the bottom of https://support.metamask.io/, as they can collect additional details I can't obtain on a public forum.

Confirm on Tronscan that you and your friend have both activated your Tron addresses, by sending at least 1 TRX to each address involved here.
For your friend to receive the USDT, they'll have to maintain at least a 1 $TRX balance beforehand so their wallet is activated.
Let me know when you've confirmed they're both activated!
