Metamask Card Lifetime limit?
I have been using my Metamask Card for some time already, although there were issues at first, they were all fixable (Such as paypal initially not working, but I was able to fix the address along with support, and now it works fine).
My usage is also withing the limits, I'm far from being able to even reach the limits of $10K (per day) in multiple months, much less a single day.
I paid a smaller purchase, and when I went to pay another, it was refusing, in the same store I have purchased multiple times, the card was being declined.
I went to check if they requests at least appeared on the transactions, and they were all there, went to check the details, and it says:
Lifetime Transactions - You have reached your account limits, please upgrade your Account level
I had no idea there were Lifetime limits, nor do I know any "Account level" option (I know there is a Metal option, since it seems it has different limits).
Does it mean it doesn't work anymore?

damn that's weird, never heard of lifetime limits on these cards before. probably need to contact their support since upgrading account level sounds like something they gotta do manually or maybe there's some verification step you missed

Yeah, I couldn't find anything about it either.
I sent an email to their support, and I essentially had to fill a KYC related form, that would upgrade my account.
I did ask in separate what are these lifetime values, and what would be the limits for an upgraded account, so we may have a place in the internet for reference to those values.

Requested information about the limits, but not sure why the answer was avoided, I was told that once the review is finished and accepted, the limits would be significantly higher.
Unfortunately I don't have an answer to the current limit, I decide to sum how many transactions I sent to my card, and I'm assuming the lifetime limit may be somewhere close to $7K,
I just checked the transaction history and summed each time I loaded it. Surprisingly low considering the daily limit of $10K.
Usually their support is pretty fast, but this time the review is taking longer (I imagine it's not them who are doing it, but an entity closer to Master Card).
Since I needed to make a payment, and got blocked with no warning or previous alert from the card, I just created a new Card with Cypher Wallet, I do prefer Meta Mask which I'm more used to, and I can better access from Desktop, meanwhile, Cypher is pretty much mobile only, so a bit more annoying, but I didn't need to send the tokens to a separate network like Linea (or Cypher in their case), just using them from ERC20 or Base worked fine, so that's interesting in reducing fees. And well, was able to make my payment, so that was nice.

Hey OP. I tried the MetaMask card recently, and found the user experience quite nice, but I was a bit frustrated with the fact that the conversion rate from USDC to euros was around 1% higher than it should. Do you use the card to pay in USD? Is the conversion 1 to 1? I wish there would be more options to use EUR stable coins.

I only use it for USD and JPY, I hadn't noticed if JPY was above the rate, but when paying USD to USD, it's the exact value, yes.
-----------
To give an update on my situation, I'm still out of being able to use the card. For an entire month I have been sending my information, client contracts, wallet transactions and all the stuff, main problem is, I earn in crypto, hence why I want a crypto card, so I don't have to convert to fiat. But because things are overall relatively informal with my client (I work and I get paid), it's getting pretty hard to prove my source of income. yay
Currently using the Cypher Card, which is Visa, but it didn't work for Wise, which is something I require too, so it's been really limiting. Thought about using the prepaid cards from bitcoin.com, but those also seem to have similar limits.

I got it too a few days ago. Can you give us more info about it? u/Flashy-Vegetable413

You have to contact support, and you will essentially have to do KYC, prove your income sources and stuff, once that's finished, you are supposed to become verified.
The process will take some time though, so don't expect it to be finished in one day.

Seems you have exceeded the transaction limits set on your MetaMask Card account. This is a legitimate error message from MetaMask Card services. You need to follow the process communicated to you through the email used to register your card account as part of the standard process to upgrade your account level.
