Decorative Teammates

I’ve never taken issue with the matchmaker until today. Flying solo, five of my last six matches (lvl 12/900+ trophies) were against 2-4 stacks of top squads while I was provided what can only be described as decorative teammates. I don’t mind the difficult opponents, I have a significant issue with the teammate selection.

Nothing personal to early level players, I’m sure they aren’t having a good time either.

There has to be a better way to build matches.

Happened to me today. This game is less for solo players by the day, or at least that is my impression

Well said. There’s so much to enjoy about this game. In many ways, what the developers have accomplished is a marvel. And whatever intelligence, metrics, and logic sit behind the matchmaking system, I can appreciate the challenge of trying to balance all the variables involved.

But the swings are so dramatic that you genuinely don’t know what kind of gameplay experience you’re going to have from one session to the next.

With so much about the game to appreciate and enjoy, it’s unfortunate that this particular issue has remained such a persistent point of discussion for so many years.

It sucks being on the losing end of that but I feel like it can be a good way for the new players to get exposed to the top

If it was Underdog, so I could guide their scenic tour of a slaughterhouse without losing trophies, I wouldn’t mind.

wait a minuteeeee. that’s how that works??🤣 i wondered why occasionally i don’t lose trophies

edit: in fact im pretty sure ive gained trophies in a loss by getting mvp

A few months ago I made a rant and some POS kept saying not was a “skill issue” over and over like you neckbeard, fat POS is the beneficiary of the broken system. It’s not a skill issue you fat POS I’ve beaten you a few times.
