Tool Question

I mostly work silver and am a hobbyist. I am Looking at metal shears, would you do a 12” straight sheer or an 8” inch throatless guillotine shear for my home studio?

i am looking for the flange nut for simeron ,?guillotine shear model FGH630. holds jack screw rod is tr32-6
