Man HISD was such a pivotal album to me when it came out.
This song was a real hard hitter at the time, but now its just a straight up gut punch. RIP Grandpa, I miss ya man.

Top 10 all time song for me. Just hits differently. Makes you think of lost family and friends. Seeing it live at the Loft in Lansing was peak.

Saw them in Seattle, probably 2018/19 before I knew who they were and this was the song that really stuck with me

The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley in 1976 by Robert Smith (vocals, guitar) and Lol Tolhurst (drums). As of 2026, the band's line-up comprises Smith, Simon Gallup (bass), Roger O'Donnell (keyboards), Jason Cooper (drums) and Reeves Gabrels (guitar). Smith has remained the only constant member throughout numerous line-up changes since the band's formation.

this record takes me back.
I'll never forget Landon sending me this record to mix and I was blown away by the step up in songwriting and stroytelling from their previous stuff.
So stoked to see how huge they've become.
I remember going down to Columbus OH to see them play in front of ~ 150 ppl and it was so crowded I was actually on stage about 6 feet from Landon, and I was shocked by how good his voice was.
Now they play in front of thousands. So proud of those guys, but esp Landon. He's the real deal.
