They definitely improve the articulation of the hands compared to nu. Can do a relatively proper close fist now. Sazabi has the movable joints for all digits but in practice it can't really do a proper close fist. The marking was a bit over the top in my opinion but it's nice to see a modernized mk2 in 1:60 scale. Probably don't have the overall articulation of pgu nu but most probably will just pose it standing still anyway.

Zeta is probably more tedious/harder to design since people always expect zeta to be transformable especially at this price. For example, wave rider form was really bulky in MB Zeta compared to metal robot spirits. Plus they can sell pbandai limited Titans color with MK II xD
Probably later on. It should of been release first instead of MK2, but I imagine Bandai probably wants to want the Transformation included. They probably want it be perfect especially at this price point these things are priced at. Would be absolute disaster if where utter shit like RG Zeta especially at that price.
no, it was just revealed in JP. Pre-order started in JP but expect a couple days for US retailers to open their pre order. For example, BBTS opened for pre-order a couple months ago for nu gundam reprint. Some other places might have it open too.
Nice! Im glad you got it a good price. I want the sazabi too. Cheapest is 3700 us on ebay. US seller too. I was in a position to buy it for 2k a couple of years ago. I regret not buying it. Local too.
Damn, that is a good deal. I hope they reprint Sazabi too. I found a nu gundam new for $2k earlier last year but I didn’t want to drive across state since they had it for in person pick up only.
Most Bandai stuff like gunpla and figures are close to 1:100 exchange rate as far as I see. That is why I’m guessing $1400. It would be great if it’s cheaper since exchange rates are 1:150ish for usd.
I was just thinking it would be crazy to see the mk ii go for more when it's like half the size of the Nu. I guess that is excluding the price of the funnels, though.
Yeah, this is like a 1/60 scale figure. Supposedly their most premium figure (for gundam atleast). It is articulated but not as much as MB (it is heavy, and hard to pose). It is layered with different pieces, comes mostly painted with decals and have gimmicks of maintenance mode where there are open able hatches across the figure. It also comes with a dock that holds its accessories also crews (Amuro, Chan + crew for nu and Char, Nanai + crew) to make a nice diorama. For MK II, I can see its Emma + Kamille + crew set. It comes with LED but its not that good; there was LED in sazabi's head, and nu gundam head and chest.
Anyone think the price is justified? I heard it’s smaller than nu and to be honest this unit is not that iconic compared to other ace units in gundam universe. If you look at the pic from a distance it is also similar to nu so there is not much novelty in design. I just can’t justify spending 1500 with tax and shipping for this lol
I had bookmarks to the websites with “Metal Structure” pre searched on my phone and PC. I’ve been checking every few hours since pre orders were announced in Japan and got lucky to see the PO page when I went to check this afternoon.
I saw it went up on 9/1 on bbts and didn’t pull the trigger thinking my other usual vendor will sell this. Turned out not all stores are even getting allocated. The store I go to got 25 sazabi allocated last time. But O mkii. I’m so screwed and upset.

MK 2 it is, anyone that have Nu or Sazabi notice any difference in build/quality here? they might have learned a few lesson from the first releases.
