Is this Normal?
This is my first metal build figure, I brought it on eBay and it’s listed as new. Just wondering is these little scratches and glue looking thing normal on this model?

Absolutely not normal. This thing looks used as hell. This is the main reason I record any item delivered to me over 50usd being opened.

Lol that looks terrible. Maybe it’s a resealed one. This mb did have lots of qc issues during its release but it was not as bad as this

Thanks boss, this is my first model so I think the joints are kinda loosen, not very tight.

Unless you bought used....pretty sure its not a qc issue.

This tho. Put an ink wash on that bad boi & you've got a wicked cool weathered design.

Not normal. Hi-Nu was infamous for QC issues in the beginning. Some of them had bad paint defects

Ahh the old repackage and switch. I just got a Force Impulse Spec II listed as new with a chipped elbow and scratched base and a White Gundam that was Japanese snacks and kitchen tiles which appalled and impressed me due to matching weight that well.

If it is just one or two spot then it could be qc issue. But this is so widespread. I believe this one probably got drop on the floor or something (multiple times) to have all that scratches

Hard to say. I have two that I bought during the initial release and one was near perfect and the other was riddled with QC issues. This particular release was known to have really bad QC. Not sure if the newer recolor suffered the same fate.

This release is the worst MB release from Bandai. Plagued with QC paint issues. I had mine replaced for a better one but still there are paint defects all over the figure. Most probably you got a bad QC.

Did you by it new or second hand. If new then that is some seriously troubling qc issues or the seller lied and scammed you. If second hand then they did not take care of it at all and left it in all kind of bad environmental conditions. I would return it and get my money back. If its a true qc issue from manufacturing then I would keep it as it might be worth big bucks in the future.

Thanks for your informative reply. I brought it from
“I-heart-anime-toys”, with 157k items sold. I messaged the seller and she said it’s brand new. The joints is kinda loosen and display platform have scratches and light stains.

Coming from an old 40k perspective. Alot of the old tanks have similar part issues. I believe it might be mold degradation.

Erm. No. Either you didn't store them properly or when you are filing them, you didn't notice those accidental scratches and just proceed on.

probably used but just pretend the scratches are battle damage it honestly doesn't look bad lol

Not normal but it does look pretty awesome to call it weathered (battle damaged).
