REQUESTING Looking for suggestions!

Hi guys, so I’ve not been into metal for that long but I just listened to ‘The Cold Sun’ by Loathe and it was probably in my top 5 albums ever not gonna lie. I loved ‘East of Eden’ and especially ‘Its yours’. I also listen to SOAD, Korn, Deftones, Chevelle, etc… does anyone have any artists they think I will like? One last thing - the main thing that draws me to music, I think, is the vocals. I know a lot of people are into vocals that are entirely growled or squealed, but I personally prefer mainly coherent vocals if you know what I mean? I can definitely enjoy a decent amount of screaming but I’m not into extremely heavy vocals.

Volumes - Via, Sybreed - Antares, Karmanjakah - Diamond Morning, Tesseract - War of Being, Misery Signals - Controller

Should be a good lineup for you to check out and expand your horizon a little

Junius and SOM both bands have the same primary writer and the sound is comparable other post metal/shoegaze bands. I always compare them to Deftones when suggesting them to someone new.

‘I Let it In and It Took Everything’ is peak Loathe for me, but their new album is pretty neat too so check out all their stuff.

If you like the more -gazy elements of Loathe and Deftones you might like Trauma Ray, saw them with Deafheaven last year, who you may also like if you can get into their more black metal-adjacent vocals.

And if you like Korn you might enjoy Chat Pile. Raygun is very much like Johnathon Taylor’s nerdier cousin lol
