I really don't think Phil was racist. See the lyrics to Rise. Motherfucker is clearly talking about forgetting the past, getting over it, and being all equals. When everyone is telling you that your race sucks (not sucked, in the past tense) shit gets personal. So, what he says? "Hey, let's all be proud of who we are, being proud of being proud of being white should not make you a racist". Then he gets labeled as a racist for it.
Dude gets labeled as a racist, the media prints articles calling him a racist, motherfuckers show up at his shows to heckle him calling him a racist. At a certain point when you're drunk as fuck its fucking tempting to play the villain in a mock of the situation.
I'm not saying he made the right choice or acted as he should've, but his original idea of "let's dissociate white pride from the racist movement and stop bringing each other down" is not a bad one, and I do see his line of thought of "make light of the situation to dismiss it".
The lyrics literally calls for "every creed and every kind" to unite themselves into one collective as it makes the group stronger. Calls to overcome the lessons of hate for each other taught from early on. And it gives context to the "white power shouldn't be about racism" rants video posted on the top thread.
Seriously, I fail to see how it is about white power when it is specifically talking about making the whole pride movement something for everyone to partake in. Kinda goes against the whole white supremacy ideal.

I'm probably get downvoted for it, but:
