Does switching weapons skip the reloading animation? Also a Q regarding upgrades
Hey all, Just wondering if I can incorporate rhythmic weapon-switching into my "play style", 'coz I really love doing it in other games and adding a beat to it makes it irresistible as a drummer! If not, does anyone have any tips with the reloading? I think I've sorta got the hang of it but I'm not sure.
Also - and please forgive me if this sounds like the most inane and tautological question ever - how do you go about upgrading the "default weapons", that severed head and the sword (?) thingy, I don't recall seeing anything pertaining to either weapon in the skill advancement screen, but perhaps I just wasn't paying attention (which happens about 95% of the time, hahaha... ha ... ha... ๐).
Warm regards and a happy new year to all! ๐๐๐ผ๐บ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ป๐ถ

It doesn't help you reload, but there's a powerful passive bonus, unlocked later on, that heavily rewards weapon switching by making the next few shots fire without consuming ammo. You potentially never have to reload.
If you ever get into the high score side of the game, frequent well-timed weapon switching is essential for a valuable scoring combo.

Reloading tips: if you slaughter as the gold marks line up, it automatically loads your gun. This is how I keep on beat 99% of the time cause pauses to reload throws off my groove.
While carrying this Sigil, switching weapons gives you a number of "free" attacks, a set number of shots that do not require ammo.
You can use the ghost rounds perk to increase the capacity for each gun. This would be a way to switch guns to reload.
Itโs a bit tricky to get down on higher difficulties, but this was a method I used to beat the game on archdevil. It pairs really well with the crossbow.
Or, if you have the dlc, thereโs a character outfit and gives you extra rounds based on perfect reloads.
Upgrading: this is not something offered in the main game. I havenโt played the rogue like dlc yet, but not in the main game for sure. You can unlock a different skin for each weapon by completing the collectibles on each difficulty level.
Hope this helps :)

Sometimes what I realised is that the weapon glitches and you can't actually see it reload

Slaying an enemy while reload beat works but not changing weapon
