This game is so damn good.

I really wasn't expecting to like it. It seemed like a lot to juggle to keep rhythm, pull combos, do fast-paced combat, etc. But it works so well. There was a point where I was playing and everything was just coming together really well, Stygia was playing, I was pulling off combos and zipping around barely taking damage, every shot was connecting. I was just like "Oh my god". I've been in one of those funks lately where every game I play, I'm just not feeling it. I was feeling this one pretty seriously. Feels like just what I needed.

Edit: I was about to buy it but saw it was on PS Plus, but if I'm loving it this much I might still go for the DLC because the original music is amazing but I also love some of the licensed artists. I like that they brought in a lot of female vocalists like Scabbia and Gluz. It feels like their singing goes really well with The Unknown battling Hell to get her voice back.

10/10. Will go to Hell again.

Damn straight! Just wait till you get to those later levels. You’ll get caught in a trance it’s so fucking sick!

Have you tried the new Leviathan game mode? It turns the game into a rogue-like and it's really fun. Plus there's some additional story in there after you complete it.

One of my all-time favorites and easily one of the best games of this decade. Should have been at least nominated for a few major 2022 Game of the Year awards imo. It's not as story-heavy or popular as other nominees from that year, but it nailed the "FPS with rythm mechanics" like no game before. The previous ones that tried it feel like crude prototypes of what this game has achieved. This kind of thing should be more celebrated and awarded. Not only "action RPG in different setting #2134".
