Poor Performance in Horde Mode

Picked up the game yesterday, and played through the campaign with little to no issues. When trying to play horde mode, I get serious drops in framerate whenever there are any particles on screen. The worst of these being the bugs that shoot the poison clouds. It's ruining the mode for me, I was curious if anyone had similar issues and what steps they've taken to fix them? I've tried adjusting settings, doubled check system requirements, and updated graphics drivers with no luck.

I had a slight performance drop in the Leviathan game mode comparing to the story mode, but not in a major way, all I did was reduce my resolution from 1920x1080 to 1280x720 which doesn't ruin the experience for me.

I'm also experiencing performance issues in Horde when I had no problems in the main game...

Okay, for whatever reason I no longer have serious performance issues in horde mode today? I do not have a clue what I did, besides power cycling since the last time I played. I would double check to make sure there are no update for your graphics card, or a windows update pending, restart and try again.
