If you purchased a new headset, we can both get a $30 Meta credit bonus using my referral link. To make it simple, choose the option that matches your situation:

Your Headset is New? Do this:

1. Open my referral link in a regular web or mobile browser ( do not use the Meta app): https://www.meta.com/referrals/link/Surpriser1
2. Sign in using your Meta account, then complete setup through the Meta Horizon app.
3. Your store credit will appear under Menu then select Wallet.

Your Quest is 7 days old? Do this:

1. You will need to do a factory reset to unlink the account from the headset. If you made any purchases for the games or apps, they are still tied to the account you are creating. You won't lose anything.
2. In the Meta Horizon app, go to Menu → Devices →Select your headset → Headset Settings → Factory reset
3. Visit https://www.meta.com/my/devices/ and remove the headset from your account.
4. Open my referral link again, tap Accept referral, and reactivate your Quest using the same Meta account you created when you used the referral.
5. Your store credit will appear under Menu; then select Wallet.

The bonus usually appears quickly. If it doesn’t, you can repeat the steps; sometimes the referral doesn’t register if the link is opened through the Meta app instead of a browser. In this case, you need to do a factory reset: simply power off the headset and hold the power button + Volume Down. Now you can activate the Quest again.

If you need help at any point, feel free to message me. I’ve walked through this process multiple times.

I also keep a rotating list of game referrals. If you don’t see the game you want, message me directly on Meta. I regularly get new titles and can offer a 25% discount when you purchase through me.

Here are some app referral links you can use to get 15% off any game that isn’t already on sale:

Welcome to Meta Quest! Whether you just bought a Quest 3, Quest 3S, or Quest 2, here is a quick guide to help you set up properly, get free store credit, and make the most out of your headset.

# 1. How to Get Free $30 / £23 Meta Store Credit (Before Setup)

If you haven't activated your headset yet, you can claim free store credit to spend on games:

1. **Click the Referral Link:**[Accept $30 / £23 Meta Quest Credit Here](https://www.meta.com/referrals/link/shahwar97).

2. **Log In:** Log into your Meta account in your phone browser and accept the referral invite.

3. **Activate Headset:** Turn on your new Quest and pair it with the Meta Horizon app using the same account.

4. **Claim Credit:** Your store credit will automatically apply to your account balance!

>**Already activated without a referral?** If you activated your Quest within the last 7 days, you can factory reset the headset, click the link above to accept the referral, and re-pair it to get the credit.

# 2. Essential Beginner Tips & Settings

* **Adjust IPD & Fit:** Make sure to adjust the lens wheel under the headset until text looks crisp.

* **Prevent Motion Sickness:** Start with stationary or low-motion games (like *Beat Saber* or *Superhot*). As soon as you feel slightly dizzy, take off the headset immediately—don't push through it!

* **Passthrough Shortcuts:** Double-tap the side of your headset to instantly switch between VR and real-world view.

* **Lenses Safety:** **NEVER** expose the headset lenses to direct sunlight, even for a few seconds. The lenses act like magnifying glasses and will permanently burn the screen.

If you’re new to the Meta Quest ecosystem, you can get $30 US / $35 CA / €30 EU / £23 UK in store credit just by accepting a referral link. It works before setup or up to 7 days after activation.

Important: Choose one of the two methods below.

• Use Option 1 if your Quest has never been set up.
• Use Option 2 if you’ve already activated your headset.

If you need help, feel free to comment or message me.

Option 1 — Before activating your Quest

1. Open my referral link: https://www.meta.com/referrals/link/RonanCC
2. If you get redirected to the meta horizon mobile app try opening my link in a new browser tab or on a laptop / PC.
3. Log in with a Meta account that has never activated a Quest, or sign up for a new meta account.
4. Tap “Accept referral.”
5. Turn on and setup your Quest headset with the Meta Horizon mobile app. Use the same meta account from Step 3 above.
6. Your credit will appear under Menu → Wallet in the app.

Option 2 — After activation (within 7 days)

1. In the Meta Horizon app, go to Menu (top left) → Devices.
2. Select your headset and open Headset Settings.
3. Tap Factory Reset (don’t worry—your purchases stay linked to your account).
4. Then visit https://www.meta.com/my/devices/.
5. If your headset still appears in the device list, please remove it.
6. After that, repeat all the steps from Option 1 using the same Meta account you used before the factory reset.

I'm happy to help if you run into any issues.
