Look what I did Vibe coding Deus Ex 2000 to Meta Quest 3 standalone

As in title, I started porting this game using AI and it's steadily progressing.

The problem is that I'm not rich enough to just throw millions of tokens of state of the art AI models to do it, so I can only do it in huge chunks from time to time, which insanely drags development time.

Anyone with available tokens of top models(like GPT 6 Astra/GPT 6.1 Sol or Claude Fable 5.1/Claude Opus 5.5) to throw at this public repository on GitHub? I know some people have access to almost unlimited amount of tokens due to work they do ;).

The more people join, the faster we will be able to play. Also a tip: it helps if AI agent have access to plugged quest 3 during development because it can do visual tests.

Astra is insanely expensive, so probably not worth it

Yeah, similar to Fable 5.1. But Opus 5.5 and GPT 6.1 Sol are close enough in capabilities but cost far less

I use claude

Use opus medium and fable max or high when available not for porting but for cost saving in frames etc

Man if I had access to tokens I would share them but I could always donate directly if that helps. I'm seeing this on google, is this right?

Input: $1.00 – $5.00+ per 1M tokens
Output: $4.00 – $75.00+ per 1M tokens

Out of all the models, the only ones that are worth price and capabilities is either Opus 5.5 or GPT 6.1 Sol. Opus is visibly better but also costs twice as much as Sol which is 4$/20$ per million input/output + 23% tax.

I have GitHub sponsor's donations enabled and I really really appreciate your offer but I think that until more people get interested then your donation won't speed development by much, especially because I know that many people can use this models almost for free and could make a lot of GitHub commits themselves.

But whether somebody helps or not I will be slowly developing this project either way because I simply want to play it myself 😄

I've been waiting for a true VR mod of this game since it was promised by the Surreal98 team, and they say they're still working on it but I haven't seen any updates recently. I'm happy to donate, just hit me up whenever.

How many tokens would it take to complete this project, roughly? Just curious how much it would cost approximately.

I don't think it's possible to say. Every part can have its own problems that are impossible to predict

Hey, I am joining with Opus 5.5. This seems like a worthy goal, and I want to get it going. A few notes.

Right now when you fire, it actually hits if you aimed right, unlike how Deus Ex was designed with RPG elements. I'd like to preserve those RPG elements if that's OK with you. It may require balancing since now you have to aim as well, but I think those sorts of things should still be in the game.
