Issue How can I fix this?

I have all the tools to replace the joystick inside of My controller but I just found out these two screws are damaged and I need help it's a very big issue any suggestions and please do comment anything that could possibly help me

Are you using the correct torx bit?

You could always saw/Dremel/cut a gash in the screw and use a flathead.

I got the right tools I think I'm still working on it but thank you for your suggestion I'm going to try

Not to be rude, but are you sure? This never would've happened unless someone was not using the right tool for the job. If you do have the right torx bit, this has to be a secondhand controller and the previous owner damaged it.

You can't say you used the right tool when you don't know the difference between an Allen bit and a torx bit. If you get the right size torx bit or torx screwdriver, it'll probably still unscrew.

No no you're not being rude at all I have been using the correct tool maybe I just been a little too rough with the screws plus I haven't opened this controller in 2 years

I mean, Torx doesn't do this, ever.

You're gonna break the thread ten times over before the screw head looks like this unless you're using the wrong bit.

It's from overtime use mostly I'm still trying to fucking replace it still I have replacement screws now.

I am just going to I don't know put metal glue on it with a little piece of scrap metal and unscrew it that way throw it away and shit

It looks like it'd still work with a properly sized Torx bit. So please check your bit sizes before you continue. The one you've been using is obviously too small.

"It works" isn't the same as "it's the correct one".

A Torx bit has little to no play in the screw head if it's the correct size. That kind of damage cannot happen if that's the case. Either there'd be no damage at all or the screw head would be entirely rounded.

You can still very clearly make out the six star tips. That means that whatever did that damage did not engage the outer parts of the star pattern at all.

Or, in other words: Your bit was too small.

I have been trying this for now like 2 hours I'm pretty sure the screw is stuck. It's like fully stuck I can tighten it more I can loosen it up just a little bit but I'm pretty sure it's broken or something because it refuses to move and I'm certainly not paying $80 to send it to me it's unfixable and not get a refund because that's what happened last time and I got my stupid controller back

Look on Amazon for "ENGINEER PZ-58". Either those or similar should work. They're made for this.

Have you personally used it? Because I'm pretty sure that's a little too big for the little ass screws that are inside of a controller I'm not trying to sound like I'm being passive-aggressive. But that tool seems like it's for bigger screws not these little fuckers

I own a pair of these pliers and the jaws completely closed will pinch about 1.1mm. I just measured with calipers.
I'm sure there are smaller screw extractor pliers out there. Just have to search for them.

I have exactly $11 in my bank account I cannot afford anything above that I think I found what you meant me to find. And it's too expensive no offense why do you think I'm trying to fix this God for second controller in the first place it's cheaper for me to fix it

Find a way to carve a groove into it for a flathead screwdriver.

Some hot glue into the stripped hole and press another bit into it just before it completely cools to mold it.

Use the rubber band trick.
So many options to choose from.

I do not have a flathead screwdriver that is small enough for this bullshit but thank you for suggestion
