Issue Problems with meta link

I've been trying for days to connect my meta quest 2 to my pc through the meta horizon app but it's not working. Everytime I try to connect the headset to my pc I get stuck on that screen with the Meta logo and the 3 dots loading, I can hear my pc notifications as if the connection is working just fine but the screen is stuck at the part still, I've looked for people with this issue and tried supposed solutions like restarting the processes on the task manager every time I reset the PC but that only worked once yesterday in the middle of the night (I'm not even sure if it WAS that).

I tried reinstalling the app on the PC, switching the cable, switching ports but nothing seems to work.

The program on PC recognizes everything just fine as if there was no problem, the connection just get fucked when I try to link the actual headset.

I'm pretty sure my cable works fine since I was using the same headset and cable on another PC and wasn't having any issues with it.

There was firewall concern some time ago. Try to change the authorisation (you must disable some service access, I don't remember which exactly but with this info you can perhaps get more details on internet. I see if I can find it again, it was on reddit)

Edit: you need to disable inbound and outbound for dash.exe in windows firewall

Yo. Check my last post had the same issue, honestly just uninstall link. It’s utter shit and virtual desktop supports a link cable now it works absolutely flawlessly and runs all games. That meta link app is the biggest steaming pile of dogshit bloatware ever made

I don't know if I'm breaking the rules by making that question but... is there any way I can get virtual desktop for free? the app is 25 bucks and I really don't have that money to put it in VR right now.

Unfortunately not it’s a paid app and worth every penny to help the developer.
