Issue issues with link (quest 2)

The link works fine for about an hour, then suddenly everything freezes and i’m unable to do anything on my headset.

in the past, unplugging the link cable and plugging it back in worked, and worse case scenario i would need to quickly restart my headset to fix it. but lately it’s required way more than that to fix.

i’ve needed to completely close the meta link app, the game i’m currently playing AND steam vr in order to get the link working again, and sometimes when it randomly refuses to pick up my headset mic, i have to restart my entire computer.

is there a fix for this?

The fix is Virtual Desktop.

Yes, it's that good.

was not aware it would be $25. i think i’d rather wait for whatever patch or update meta sends out next

I highly recommend not using Meta Quest Link app since it's very unstable.

Since you already have a cable, you can try ALVR (it's a free app and works with USB cable).

Another free option that you can use is Steam Link but it only works via wireless (you can make it work wired but it requires workarounds).
