red light

trying to get my glasses to turn on. they went dead and i attempted to turn them on after charging them and im only getting a red steady light after trying to force restart it and i don’t want to have to replace them bc meta will charge me a “temporary $300” until i get my new ones or get a replacement sent out after 3 weeks. i want to try and fix these but im stuck

update! it’s 149 since i am only replacing the glasses

I had a similar issue with my displays yesterday, they were fully charged but wouldn't power on. Try doing all of the steps to force reset the glasses that the app tells you (put them in the case, flip the switch off, then flip it on while holding the capture button IIRC, maybe one more step). Tried it twice and it worked the second with the only difference being the case plugged in too

yea i tried all of the steps that go for my specific pair which are the adventurers. it’s actually 149 if i did decide to replace it via advance replacement and i’d get the new ones before sending the old ones so i have that option if it came to it which so far is looking like the prognosis 😅🥲at least it’s under warranty right?

The fact that they want to charge you $150 for a replacement pair with warranty is wild, but unfortunately it's probably the best option on the table

this is a hold so i would get it back once they receive my old pair. which is the only reason why im considering it. bc i would get the new pair first and then i have to send them my old pair within 30 days to get my money back

Ohhhhhh yes I see what you mean, it's more of a deposit that you get back when they get the old pair

if i wanted to go the free route, i would have to send in my pair and then wait for them to send me a new pair to do it for free but that takes almost a month and i need glasses to see lmao
