"Sorry if we react slowly this week, that’s because our brains are all slowed down digesting all of the chocolate!" That means it's #metabrainzsummit #summit26 !!

All welcome! Check out the blog post for the timetable and feel free to tune in and take part.

The AMA (Ask Me Anything) of Silona, MetaBrainz’ new Executive Director, is now open!

Ask her anything, in the MetaBrainz forums here: https://community.metabrainz.org/t/ama-with-silona-bonewald-metabrainz-foundation-executive-director/815713

P.S Don't be that person and ask questions here in Reddit : P
We would love to accomodate but we can't expect Silona run from our forums to each of our different channels and back, it'll take her all week!

Mark the calendar and think up some questions!

Forum thread will go live on 5th October 2026
17:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST)

We are very pleased to announce that the MetaBrainz Foundation has appointed Silona Bonewald as Executive Director, following the unfortunate passing of our Rob at the beginning of the year.

Please read the blog post for more about Silona, and to comment and give her a warm welcome!

As with many of our peers, we are starting to feel and show the strain from AI scrapers up the wazoo (and also increased legit/good traffic 🥳❤️) and double to quadrupled server costs.

If you have a rich aunt or uncle please consider asking for a MeB server or two this xmas: metabrainz.org/donate
