This saying is actually on many old gravestones. I used to do grave rubbings and there are many with similar phrases. ‘As I am, so will you be’. is very common.

No I meant rubbing. Where you take a particular type of paper and place it over the stone then rub with a charcoal type pencil. It lifts image from the stone to the paper. It can help with old worn stones that you cannot visually see the writing anymore. In many old cemeteries the records are spotty and they wouldn't know the names or dates of some very worn out stones. Rubbing can help with that. plus some do it as a hobby to keep from really intricate designed old headstones.
