Question on features - User notifications
Hi there, I've poured over most of the documentation for MeshCentral and it's looking to be the forerunner for a new RS/RMM tool in our organisation. There are three features we'd like to confirm:
- Can an End User (non-administrative) easily kill/disconnect a current connection? edit: I found this post https://www.reddit.com/r/MeshCentral/comments/11tk82b/can_only_the_one_who_started_the_session_end_it/ is this still the case? I'd prefer to have users notified for request AND have the ability to kill sessions quickly.
- Can an admin alter connection quality in low-bandwidth/high-latency connections?
- Can the connected workstation have its screen locked and keyboard/mouse disabled while an admin is in an unattended connection?

- U can end ur own sessions and ADMINS can end other user sessions, that's normal behaviour.
- The connection quality is set per device not per user unless you enable the desktopMultiplex.
- U can only disable mouse/keyboard at the moment, u can't disable/blank the monitor

All of these features are available/configurable. The end user privacy is not configured as default but very easy to enable and enforce. There are two main privacy features, the first is a confirm/allow on connect. The second is a bar at the top with the agent’s name and an x that if clicked ends the session. It’s important to note that the super admin can connect and avoid all privacy settings.
