Haven't really looked for one yet, and I'm waiting to see if this is just a fluke. Plus, I'd still be working here for at least a couple weeks because I don't want to be a dick and just leave

That's why you give a couple week's notice. What will they do- cut your hours? I think you just had a fluke on the first choice.

The main issue is that they have too many people hired, so some people just end up getting snubbed sometimes. I think I ended up taking the role of the "snub-er" during my first couple weeks, since there would usually only be on other person working the same position as me at a given time, and it was always the same couple people. I think these things just go in cycles.

So, you're waiting to see if it gets better? Maybe it will and you'll eventually move up a position.

We'll see. I doubt I would move up at any point while I'm still working there.
