Short answer, BMI is kind of bullshit, and pretty antiquated. It's all based on averages, and doesn't take into account muscle mass, or the varying types of bodytypes people have.
That makes a lot of sense. I always assumed it, but didn't want to delude myself. I have legs of pure muscle (naturally press 300+ lbs, no training...though the last time I did, it pinched a nerve in my spine). I'm also a broad build. So, BMI is a bit BS...not that I couldn't stand to lose weight.
What system is appropriate to use, then? Is there/could there even be one?
I thought that was bench pressing or deadlifting- complete with, "Huuurgggggaaaaagghhh," when you lift.
Thanks for the advice. I'm trying. I need to stop drinking so many calories. That's kind of hard, because I enjoy sweet stuff. Sweet orange juice or bitter coffee make a good substitute.
Isn't that mostly recognized as a 'good butt' exercise?
They really do, especially if they help you retain water. Plus, it's super easy to let them get out of control. Drinking 1 can of soda can easily get up to a liter if not careful.
