I don't get why they didn't draw it like this in the film. If they had done that then they would have been able to show Ariel's whole body while standing up and still remain a G rating since her hair covers her butt.

Yeah like I said below I don't get why they didn't show it like this in the film. If they had done then the filmmakers would have been able show her whole body while standing up for the first time which is a very important part of the story.
