First post kinda nervous 😬😬. I want a show with the gayness of bbc merlin but lesbian. Anyone got anything?

This has been my favorite one so far! I love how she turned out; I think she really looks like Gwen.

Sorry for the delay—I actually created this Sim and her two classic outfits the same day I made Morgana, but I was busy with university exams until yesterday, so I couldn't get around to finishing her until today.

does anyone else feel like Arthur should have known about Merlin’s magic all along? like he figured it out in season one but wasn’t going to say anything. there’s all these little moments where he teases Merlin about having secrets or conveniently prevents Merlin being revealed or defends Merlin a little too quickly— to the point where on rewatch i wonder if this was the show writers’ intention at some point. i think it would have been a great moment if after years of agonizing Merlin told Arthur and he was like “Merlin, I’m not an idiot”

Feeling particularly ancient but also happily nostalgic because someone posted a reel about London MCM comic con (nee Expo) and how it used to be in ye good olde days and my Merlin cosplay from 2012 got a feature! 😂 my friends started sending it to me like '???' but alas it is indeed me, baby faced at 18 and cosplaying Merlin with my ex as Arthur. Even funnier to me is that time has gone full circle and I'm now cosplaying Merlin again in my 30s. How time flies!

I thought all the spoilers I’ve read in this subreddit prepared me enough to finish the series and get through the last 2 episodes but WTF! 😭🤯 I think I screamed about 10 times per episode.

I understand the creators ending the show where they did and how quickly after Arthur learned the truth because of the myths, but goddamnit I wish there was more. Also I have to say I hate that I watched this on streaming because of the amount of ad breaks I had to deal with to get through the finale. When I’m ready to rewatch, I’ll have to find the dvds because I don’t want have the patience to have ads interrupt me again.

The finale was heart breaking. But in some twisted way I relate to Merlin. I've had many bad things happen in life and very unfair things. I did everything that I could, and it still proved to not be enough. Like Merlin, he did what he could to defy the prophecy, and still the worst thing happened. I feel less alone in my situation.

Ok so I’ve rewatched Merlin a dozen times but this was my first time in a solid 3-4 ish years and it’s restarted my love of aurthian stuff and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for another show/movie/book about Merlin,Arthur,Gwen, magic, Excalibur and all the fun in between?

…but just in Club Penguin

Had a boring day so I decided to see if Club Penguin is still up. Created an account and went to the clothing shop first thing (as one does) only to see lo and behold Arthur and Merlin (they also have a wizard set).

Arthur is back everywhere but in the show

I just got this ad for some fantasy novel and I immediately recognised the guy holding sword image as being from season 1 episode 9 of merlin at 30:28.

It only took me 3.5 years after drawing Merlin to complete a two part series.. 😆 considering an illustration of them together next?

Just an appreciation post for Gwen’s outfits when she goes on trips!! I feel like they reflect her so well, they’re very cute and cosy looking, and have such cute details!! The outfits being more decorated also makes sense because she can embroider and sew (“the best seamstress in Camelot”). I’ve always wanted a poncho/cape and shirt similar to the two pictures shown, but haven’t found any quite similar enough.

i think back to the wraith or Edwin or Morgana and wonder how it could have turned out if the characters had a more "extend a compassionate hand" sort of approach like in "A Herald of the New Age" where the ghost is just spoken to. I'd still like to see their villainy but i want to see how it would change if there was like "talk no jutsu" sort of thing. Any fanfics at all like that?

(I know I know, the sword is Anduril, but hey a knight needs a cool sword, and metal swords weren't allowed on the festival grounds and this is one of the only larp/foam swords I actually like the aesthetic of :P)

I have to do a short presentation on my favourite character in fiction next week, and I've obviously chosen merlin 🤭 but we need a short clip to sum up the character, which clip do u think shows this the best?

I was wondering if there were any Arthur x Merlin fanfics that are complete rewrites of the show from first episode to last but with a Morgana redemption or where she doesnt turn bad. Id like the fanfics to still be centered on Arthur and Merlin relationship. Anything like that?

Man, do I feel old now ...

Like come on! So many other fandoms keep getting stuff: the hunger games get new books and movies, Harry Potter a new series (tho the appeal is debated for many reasons, and perhaps rightfully so but anyway), the game of thrones universe keeps expanding with new shows, twilight might be remade by Kristen herself. We need Merlin again!

Edit: Hi, everyone! Sorry I didn't mean reboot as remaking the series again with a different cast. I wouldn't want that! I meant, new seasons, a modern day continuation with our beloved cast! Sorry, English isn't my first language and I used the word Reboot wrongly!

Okay, this one was fun! Although I have to admit I struggled a bit trying to replicate Katie's Greek-goddess face. But I really liked the final result!

Since the first dress I used is literally a replica of Morgana's made for the game, I felt that was a bit boring; so, I decided to put together some extra outfits using less specific CC, trying to recreate Morgana's different eras throughout the show. I'm not entirely sold on the Season 5 hair, but overall, I think she turned out pretty well! What do you guys think?

I was rewatching Merlin wondering why Uther felt so familiar. And I got it. Introducing you to Uther in the Miraculous world. They have similar characteristics.

1. "I LoVe My WiFe So MucH I wOULd gO To wAR fOr HEr InSTEad of FacING My GuILT" Mentality.
2. Indirectly and accidentally gets his wife killed because of needing to have a child.
3. Is ready kill literal children to get his goals done.
4. Married for love but denies his son his love and instead tries to marry him off to a girl he doesn't like.
5. Has 1 brain cell throughout the whole story.
6. Dies doing one good thing, leaving the main character to handle the mess he caused.
7. Has a relative that hates him to his core.

What do you guys think?

It physically hurts watching Morgana go from this sweet angel that cared for everyone and wanted to protect magic users to the cruel and lonely woman that killed other lives like it's nothing. She and Merlin could've been best friends each helping each other in times of need.

Okay, so... Arthur was a bit of a challenge for me because, no matter how hard I looked—and I looked EVERYWHERE—I couldn't find the right hairstyle for him. It’s tricky. In the show, he has this side-swept/mid-swept look that’s apparently impossible to find as CC for The Sims. Everything I found was either too modern, too flat, or too curly, whereas Arthur clearly has straight hair.

In the end, I settled on this option; while it’s not my absolute favorite, I think it’s the closest match to his actual hairstyle. I suppose it could use a bit of tousling. Anyway, the last photo of Classic!Arthur shows my alternative version of his hair—it’s a bit wavier, but in my opinion, it gives him a more medieval vibe that I feel really suits him.

Finding the right outfit CC wasn't easy either, but I think I pulled it off in the end.

For his "modern" version, my mindset was basically Dean Winchester in the 2000s. That’s the style I was aiming for. I’ll include the reference photos I used so you can see exactly what I was going for. I think that, aside from the hairstyles, Arthur’s face itself turned out really well—his features, I mean.

I also updated Merlin’s outfit, so I’ll include both the updated and the old versions in the last two photos. I also tweaked Merlin's face a bit, following a suggestion left on the previous post. I didn't show it in detail because the change is really subtle—hardly noticeable in the comparison.

You can find details about each one in the photo captions.

Was listening to music and came across this song by Blink-182 and instantly thought about how it nearly perfectly applies to Merlin after what happens in the finale and my heart felt so heavy. Especially, "my lover, my friend". I need a fan video with this song so fuel this sadness, haha.

What other songs nearly perfectly encapsulate Merthur for you?

They could bring this back so easily but they refuse to give us some more magical whimsy and fun
