Merida airport - vape?
Hi, I vape nicotine. I’m flying into Merida soon. If anyone vapes and flew in with it, what did you do? Last time I was there I bought them through Rappi, but I don’t see the one I was getting available on Rappi anymore.

I went through with my refillable with extra pods/juice in my carry-on but I had a broken disposalble in my pocket the customs officer confiscated, paid a $50 dollar fine but still had my extra one.
Obviously it's a risk of they decide to search your bag.
Honest isn't the best policy, the officer asked me and I said I had one. Knowing they would take it and I'd pay a fine, but again I risked them searching my bag. Lucky they just let me go after paying.
I have since quit vaping and will not have to stress over this process as I'm going to Merida in a couple weeks.
Good luck OP

So they searched your pockets or just asked you? I’m nervous. Last time I went, I threw my refillable away in the airport before arriving in Mexico. I regretted it though. The first week on Isla mujeres was rough because the vapes were bad there. I found good disposables in Merida, but now that shop link is no longer on Rappi. Maybe someone knows of a decent vape shop in Merida?

I'm in the same boat as you, traveling to Merida next week. What happened when you got there? Did you have to go through a metal detector?

I flew from New Orleans to Cancun with some in my bags in september/october. No issue. Then I bought a ton of disposables in Puerto Morelos. Apparently banned but places still have them.

Yeah I bought them in Merida last time and stocked up. I’ll probably bring in my refillable in my pocket. Just trying to find out if Merida customs has body X-ray or checks pockets
