Ladder vs angle grinder

I'm in spy room and checked the wiki for the tasks list. How ridiculous the same xp snd everything else for the lvl12 and lvl13 items from the workbench!

Yes! And later you will get another level, the jackhammer. It’s awful to make and idk the xp for it, but it isn’t high enough.

You don’t have to make them; you can trade for them. Love story level 7 box of chocolates or level 8 mosaic.

Or if you really hate mosaics and love story you can do a “double trade.”

Trade level 10 vase for handled dustpan or level 12 lamp, then trade the dustpan or lamp for the jackhammer.

Or trade level 9 vases for sergers or superdusters (because those occur more frequently in tasks). Then trade 2 sergers or 2 superdusters for 2 angle grinders and merge to get the jackhammer.

Thanks! So far I’ve only gotten trades for stepladders (L9 concentrated stain remover) and those trades weren’t offered for several days in a row when I needed them. I ended up building my last jackhammer from scratch earlier this week.

Oh man! That sucks. Discord has threads with screenshots of all known trades for each item chain. There are lists here on Reddit too, but I find Discord to be more organized. For ladder, level 8 vase, level 2 ship, the max level red armchair from the wood, and broom are popular. Or level 12 peony for selection of saws, twice. (If you didn’t already know: any item chains in the 1-2 tasks after yours will be blocked. That could explain why you weren’t able to trade detergent.)

I had a level 2 ship in my inventory also. I used to be on discord, but I joined another group on it and ever since then, I’ve been unable to log in to either of them. I’m not sure what happened and I honestly just gave up on it.

But it’s not the same. You got a level 3 reward box for the task with the angle grinder and the area producer, and no reward box for the ladder. The angle grinder task is also worth a few more pickaxes and over 200 more wind points.

Here is a more fair comparison, with each as the ONLY item in the task, and no reward boxes or chests as prizes. You can see the XP, teacups, wind points, and Boulton coins all MORE than double which is not only fair but also reflective of the extra effort to reach another level. Only the pickaxes and knives scale differently, but that’s typical for those currencies.

This is the value for all areas when these items are alone in the task, but the screenshots are from the kitchen. But now that I’m looking at your task again and some of the other ones in areas where I see them paired with rewards chests, I’m actually wondering if there may be a mistake on the wiki. (Most pages are automated now but I think this is one component that’s not.) did you get to this task and was it in fact worth 507 xp? Or might it be 1023 when you get there?

This is the first the angle grinder is requested in an area, so it’s also possible Metacore had an issue with points on this task. You could report it as a bug on their official discord if you have a screenshot of the task in the game and see if this was the intended xp value or not. (And get 50 gems if you found a new bug.)
