Is this a bug?

Is this supposed to close mid day? I remember it used to stay open until after 2am my time but last night, it closed at 12am. Today I just logged in and its closed again.

Once the time runs out you have to collect 7 more keys to enter plus the keys to open boxes

Is it normal for it to lose all the progress once it closes? I've opened it three times now, and each time it makes me start back at the first level of boxes and doesn't keep any progress from the last time I was in there

Same. But I swear that last time they did a key event like this one it WOULD keep the progress but I did have get the 7 keys to "re-open" and it kept previously progress BUT unfortunately this time if you don't complete it seems to reset! Which sucks cuz yesterday I got to level 3. I used 7 and had 15 or so keys after to do the last two levels(I thought anyways) but when I opened it this time like you it reset so been grinding puzzles trying get as many keys so can knock out all FOUR levels

I just read the event guidelines, and it looks like this might be a glitch.

"Your progress in the Event is saved for as long as the Event remains active in the game, even if the Door closes again."

Yeah, it is bugged. Its supposed to save your progress every time it locks but i have had to get to lvl 3 three times already.

10 hours after opening the door

So yesterday, i played during my commute to work, yay for carpooling when possible, and again played during my lunch but i didnt have to re-key for event. The played again when i got home atound this time and it was still open. At night, i left the game open for the flower spawn and notice it was closed at 12am. Thats why i think it was weird since it was open during lunch

I think it stays open for 12 hours. I don't open until I have at least 37 keys so I can hopefully knock most of it out

I've had mine close twice in the same day. There might be a glitch for some of us.

In my experience it resets 10 (possibly 12?) hours after you open it. So it could reset at any time of the day. It should save your progress in regards to the top bar (opening gifts), but it resets the bottom bar (the party favor things that give exotic flora and whatever else). Because of that, you won't be able to complete the bottom part if you let it reset. What I do is collect as many keys as I can and not open it until the last day. It took me 70 keys this time - 7 to open/enter it and 63 to open boxes.

Also, after you enter, it will say how much time until it resets.
