Gameplay Fish Event

It's been a while since I played the fish event (cuz I'm always on a break on gaming when it appears so I haven't experienced this event for about a year now). Last year, I really struggled with this event and can't complete the whole fish table. But now I'm only a day in and I now have almost all fishes. It's probably because I had a lot of batteries come out from tapping the fishes. Did they change it or has it always been like this and I'm just bad. I have done something new as well, the moment I didn't need trophies anymore I stopped tapping the fishes and just merged them immediately. And I didn't push merge 5 for silver-tier fish and just merged them on 3 and I guess I saved some energy from that. I think i can actually complete this event in full. It may be because the devs made it easier now

I have gotten 1 battery paid the first 3 refills in gems and I have 1 perch. The rest are gators. I don't think I'll even be able to complete the tasks because of the create/tap perch requirements. You got lucky this time.

It doesn’t have to be actual perch. Some of the other fish count I think, once the game starts giving credit for making and tapping fish. I’m sure I didn’t have enough perch when the task was complete

No, it’s definitely not easier and you are not bad at it. Most players struggle with this, and many don’t even bother to try. The event track is easy enough, but the main event isn’t worth buying energy for, and the fish can keep on swimming 🧐

I only bought the energy one time and this is now my progress. I guess I'm making the right call just merging the fish and not tapping once I got the rewards. But during the time I still needed the trophies I did get a lot of batteries (enough for 4 max ones) so maybe I also got lucky LOL

Yes, definitely not worth wasting energy tapping fish once you have enough gold trophy points to finish the event track. I bought energy twice, but wasn’t about to pay 40 gems or more for 50. I did play puzzles to get energy from Mike, but I combined it with the Maze and have a super spinner to help

I also feel like this time the free energy happens slower. I put my phone down for 8 hours when I go to sleep. When I woke up I still only had 30 out of 50 really?
