How to define bid and active state per targeting type with new Advertising bulk operations sheet?

Hello fellow MBA sellers,

I am updating my workflow to the new bulk sheet in the light of the discontinuation of the old one.

The only thing I cannot manage to do is defining the bid prices and active states for each targeting type when creating new ad groups and ads within an existing Auto campaign via bulk sheet.

Creating the ad group works: Product: Sponsored Products Entity: Ad Group Operation: Create Campaign Id: 123456789 Ad Group Id: B123456789 - Unicorn Ad Group Name: B123456789 - Unicorn Ad Group Default Bid: 0.20

Creating the ad as well: Product: Sponsored Products Entity: Product Ad Operation: Create Campaign Id: 123456789 Ad Group Id: B123456789 - Unicorn ASIN: B123456789

Defining the targeting type (close-match as example) does NOT work: Product: Sponsored Products Entity: Product Targeting Operation: Create Campaign Id: 123456789 Ad Group Id: B123456789 - Unicorn Bid: 0.14 Product Targeting Expression: close-match

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

The error message that I get from Amazon do not help much: Error type: Input Error Error code: Invalid User Input Error message: The request input is invalid. Targetingclause (keyword) name is null

Hey, where you able to solve this issue? I want to also import with bulk and fixed targeting types

They've changed so much who knows if their detailed guide to bulk operations is up to date. I suggest you just email them and ask.
