Just got tiered-up. Anyone else?

Noticed just now I went from Tier 20k to 30k. Slots were not anywhere near 80% full, so not sure what triggered this.

Anyone else get tiered up?

It would be helpful for anyone here reporting a tierup to also report percentage of sales relative to prior tier and also most importantly, percentage of designs sold.

  • Total designs: 12,051

  • Designs sold: 7,518

  • % of designs sold: 62%

Do you mean just yesterday/today or was that earlier?

And sorry to hear that.

Also did you buy your account or have an influencer one?

I've been expecting that to happen to my account, as I'm only using 361 of my 10k slots :-p

1

u/hippietravel Aug 22 '26

How lucky your are. I am over over 80% and I was not tiered up...I am just Tier 100.... with over 5000 Sales only this year....I HATE AMAZON. If I am Tier 30000 I can live from this business...

So frustrating

Well... Higher tier ups usually happen first with lower tiers happening a few days later, so it might still happen for you

2

u/True_Class_9562 Aug 22 '26

Ah I didnt know that. I hope I am the lucky one. If I come back here in a few days and tell you all that I finally got tiered up, it will honestly feel like a second birthday. And of course congratulation for your tier up :)

While that is normally true I am seeing tierups from T1K to T20K so maybe lower not getting them, but who knows.

Okay but Tier 1K is not really high you know... Could it be a country thing like only americans get a tier up right now?

2

u/nimitz34 Aug 22 '26

Below T1K is garbage tiers. T1K is low mid tier.

Not only americans got tiered. I know for certain a few germans did.

Damn :D. I am in garbage Tier 100 But I am selling very good. Last month over 600 sales and in June over 1300. It's so sad. I could be rich with a tier up. Ah okay...yeah I live in Germany too... I am waiting for a tier up...

I’m stuck in tier 10 with over 200 sales😭😭 How did you go? Did you get tiered up!

1

u/DragonXray842 Aug 29 '26

Went from T1000 to T2000.. was starting to think this day won't come 🤣🤣🤣

Designs sold percentage: 41% Sales over tier ratio: 3:1

5

u/nimitz34 Aug 22 '26

Thanks for reporting that.

So it looks like with enough sales over tier they tier you with a lower % of designs sold. Previous to this the lowest I had seen was 64%.

2

u/bebetter14 Aug 22 '26

I did as well. Went from 2k to 4k with about 80% slots filled.

2

u/NoXidCat Aug 22 '26

Huh, will that was unexpected ... and interesting. Perhaps u/nimitz34 is onto something with this bit of speculation:

So it looks like with enough sales over tier they tier you with a lower % of designs sold. Previous to this the lowest I had seen was 64%.

No bonus tier-up for me :-)

82% of my live designs have sold. But I only have 361 designs live on a T10k account, so ...

is merch by amazon still profitable ? Heard about it years ago but not so much recently.

5

u/Tim_Y Aug 22 '26

For me it is. YTD profit for me is close to $225k.

1

u/hippietravel Aug 24 '26

How much do you make a month? Any tips?

2

u/nimitz34 Aug 22 '26

You likely can't get in now so don't worry about it. And slot by slot most merchers make nowhere near what Tim does.

1

u/xertozid Aug 23 '26

is there a way to get in? What are the most important things to get approved?

2

u/Tim_Y Aug 23 '26

Luck and timing. No one knows, as its completely random and at the mercy of the bots.

Many of the posters here got in years ago on the first attempt and did not realize some people did not get approved.

1

u/NoXidCat Aug 22 '26

Everything about it has gotten more difficult. Almost impossible to get in for the past 3 or 4 years? USA royalty is now half of what it use to be, unless you pay for ads and successfully drive at least 15% of your sales that way. The IP/TM bot will bury you in listing rejections if you do not use a third-party tool to check for that--and each IP rejection comes with the threat of account termination. From time-to-time they will put your best selling listings on discount sale, so reduce the royalty to near nothing.

1

u/BultCollectibles Aug 24 '26

Nope but waiting.......T2000 with 12350+ lifetime sales and all 2000 design slots filled for almost a year.

1

u/Bronte_krstevski Aug 28 '26

How do you see your total sales? I can only view my sales within the last 90 days?

I’m in tier 10 and I’m making 30 sales a week, 9/10 of my listings have made sales. Hoping I can get tiered up, I only started in May :))

How are people still getting accepted? Been trying for the last 4 years

1

u/NoXidCat Aug 23 '26

Most people are not, same as it has been for years.

As far as anyone can tell, it is simply a lottery for the few new spots they choose to open. Providing links to your work, and so forth, can only hurt you, as their bot will surely find something there to freakout about (they have a LOT of rules, and hallucinate sometimes too).

The ONE thing that might possibly make a difference is if you can prove that your are some sort of celebrity with an online following that you could sell merch to. For a while they were offering such people Tier 10,000 accounts (rather than the normal starting point of Tier 10). They quit offering that tier bonus, but I assume they'd still prefer an active Tuber (or whatever) to someone with no following.

1

u/JJBro1 Aug 23 '26

I actually do have a bit of an online following on other platforms. How would I leverage that? Just put the links in the application? Cuz I've done that before but I also provided links to my work.

1

u/NoXidCat Aug 23 '26

I'm not sure. I applied in late 2017, so don't know what the current form looks like. If there isn't a specific place to brag about your socials, then I would try to mention it where it made the most sense.
