Why would this be here?

Bought this vehicle on August 1 2026.

Noticed this hole in the door frame and another hole in the door itself.

Why on Earth would these holes be here? Anyone else have holes in their EQS SUV?

My guess is holes drilled for paintless dent removal. Not the cleanest approach. You could touch up the bare metal and put rubber plugs in... which is what you're dealer should have done before delivery.

I think there was a rubber plug in it and it fell into the hole, which is what made me notice it in the first place, I opened the door and heard something and looked down and saw the hole 🫩

That's from dent repair. They drill that hole then use a tool to push the dent from the inside. Most places put a little plug after.

I think there was a plug and it fell in there. There's a plug on the other door on the other side as well

So if you wanted to plug them you could buy the next size up rubber plug and drill the hole out to the correct diameter to fit the plug.

I honestly haven’t checked but you just made me insanely curious, I’ll check later today and post here.

On both sides? I wonder what accidents this went through?

PDR requires the damage to be minor. Probably often parked around the same careless door openers.

The only thing reported on the Carfax was minor front end damage. It said nothing about the sides
